Exporting Pictures

FotoAlbum provides an export capability that allows you to easily copy picture(s) to any location outside your picture folder, even to a floppy or CD without having to use the Windows explorer. If you want to create a FotoAlbum CD, refer to the FotoAlbum CD section.

Exporting pictures does NOT remove the pictures from your picture folder or albums. It merely copies the picture files to some other location.

Exporting pictures can not be used to re-organize your picture folder (it can only be used to copy pictures outside the picture folder).

To export pictures, you must:

  1. Select the picture(s) you want to copy (export). You can select the pictures in the All view, Explorer view or any of your albums.
  2. Use the "File->Export Pictures" main menu option (or hit CTRL-X).
  3. Specify the folder to copy the pictures to.
  4. Press the "Export" button.

The export dialog indicates the size of the picture(s) selected to help you determine if they will fit on the drive you are copying them to.
